This Privacy Policy explains how Anshu's DeskEDU ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when Institutions and their students, parents and staff use our platform.
When an Institution subscribes, we collect account and billing details for the Institution's administrators. Institutions themselves enter student, parent, teacher and staff records (such as names, contact details, attendance, academic and fee information) needed to operate the Service.
Data is used to provide the Service — attendance tracking, fee collection, exam management, communication and reporting — and to maintain, secure and improve the platform. We do not sell personal data to advertisers.
Access is scoped by role: an Institution's staff see only their own Institution's data; teachers, students and parents each see only the information relevant to their portal, as configured by the Institution.
Data is stored on secured servers with access controls in place. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information from unauthorised access.
Institutions may use the platform's messaging, notice and broadcast features to contact students, parents and staff about school-related matters. We may also send account or billing notices to Institution administrators.
Data is retained for as long as the Institution's subscription is active, plus a reasonable period after termination to allow data export, after which it is deleted in line with our data retention practices.
Individuals with questions about data held about them should first contact their Institution, since Institutions control the data entered into the Service. Institutions may contact us for platform-level requests.
